After being wanted by the prosecutor, he proactively contacted the Investigation Team of the Criminal Police Station to surrender today. He is also the ninth accomplice to have been arrested in this case so far. After a brief personal interrogation of the wanted section, the Criminal Bureau is currently taking him to the Xindian Branch of the New Taipei City Police, which is responsible for Zhang Junjie's case of abandoning bail and absconding. The Xindian Branch will continue to interrogate the case and clarify the doubts.

After committing the crime, Chen Weida fled to China and was arrested two years later. He was escorted back to Taiwan and brought to justice. The court later acquitted the case due to insufficient evidence.

The task force learned that in the case of Zhang Junjie's escape, Chen Weida appeared with Zhang Junjie in the Da'an Forest Park on the 6th, entered a public toilet, destroyed the electronic bracelet, and fled to the south-central part of the country with Zhang Junjie. Chen accompanied Zhang all the way to Chiayi, and then the man Zhou Huankai borrowed a car to help him escape. The man Chen Junhan took over and drove Zhang Junjie to Kaohsiung in a private car to accommodate him in a hotel and other subsequent escapes.
