Chinese boy arrested on suspicion of robbery in Taito Ward, Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department

On the 20th, the Metropolitan Police Department announced the arrest of an 18-year-old Chinese boy on suspicion of preparing for a robbery in July in Taito Ward, Tokyo, after allegedly preparing a crowbar and pepper spray for the purpose of robbery. It has not been made clear whether he approves or disapproves.

According to the First Investigative Division, the suspect was arrested on July 24th, in collusion with two men in their 20s to 30s and a boy (16) who are believed to be the perpetrators of the robbery, who had already been arrested on the same charges, and prepared to rob a car by placing a crowbar, pepper spray, and a hammer inside a car parked at a coin parking lot in Higashiueno 2-chome, Taito Ward.

According to investigators, the boy appears to have been posting messages on social media saying things like ``same-day, high-income,'' recruiting a 16-year-old boy who sent messages, and giving instructions for the incident.

Immediately before the incident, the suspect sent messages to the young boy using a highly confidential communication app, such as ``Can you bring me a weapon?'' and ``If you have a mask and gloves, please bring them,'' and when asked if he could hurt the other person, there were records of him replying, ``Yes.''
