National autumn grain harvest enters peak period, progress reaches 60%

The latest agricultural situation dispatch released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on the 13th shows that the national autumn grain harvest has entered its peak period, with more than 60% progress. Among them, the Huanghuaihai Sea and northwest account for more than 70%, the Northeast and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River account for more than half, and South China accounts for nearly 30%.

The area and output of autumn grains in Northeast China account for nearly 40% of the country's autumn grains. Meteorological conditions during the autumn grain growth period in most areas of Northeast China this year are generally favorable, which is conducive to grain filling and safe maturation, and the yield situation is good. In the 260-acre soybean yield-increasing field at 856 Farm in Beidahuang, Heilongjiang, the expert team conducted actual harvest testing and obtained an average yield of 683.63 kilograms per mu, setting a new high-yield record for soybean fields in Heilongjiang.

The area and output of autumn grains in Huanghuaihai account for about 1/4 of the country's autumn grains. In Yingshang, Anhui, 720,000 acres of rice are gradually maturing, ushering in a large-scale harvest. The local area has invested 100,000 sets of various agricultural machinery, including more than 2,600 crawler harvesters, and set up 108 grain drying points to prevent the harvest progress from being affected by wet soil or sudden rainfall. In Dazao Goutou Village, Lanshan District, Linyi City, Shandong Province, thanks to the implementation of integrated technologies in all aspects of farming, management and harvesting, the local average rice yield per mu increased by 10% this year compared with last year.

The weather in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River has been fine recently and the temperature is suitable, which is conducive to the filling and maturation of late rice. The weather situation in the southwest region this year is generally good, and the disasters are obviously light. Autumn grain growth in the northwest region is good and harvest is accelerating.

Since this year's autumn harvest, the autumn harvest in the country's main autumn grain producing areas has been progressing relatively smoothly, slightly faster than normal, and the autumn grain harvest is expected to be bumper again.
