[Reporter Xu Mingli/Taipei Report] The 2026 Asian Table Tennis Championships will be held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, from October 19th to 25th. The Taiwan team roster has also been released. Since the Asian Championships will be held immediately after the Nagoya Asian Games and the China Grand Slam, the Chinese The country's five main players, including world champion Wang Chuqin, world queen Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Chen Xingtong and He Zhuojia, all voluntarily gave up their qualifications for selection. Taiwan's first brother Lin Yunru and first sister Zheng Yijing also chose to suspend their troops and adjust, and were replaced by Cai Tianyu and Jian Tongjuan, who ranked sixth in the national players this year.

The members of the Taiwanese men's team in this Asian Championship include Feng Yixin, Guo Guanhong, Xu Xianjia, Hong Jingkai and Cai Tianyu, with an average age of less than 19 years old, making them the youngest Taiwanese team in history; the women's team includes Chen Siyu, Ye Yitian, Wu Yingxuan, Peng Yuhan and Jian Tongjuan.

In the doubles section, the men's doubles will continue to be played by Feng Yixin/Guo Guanhong and Xu Xianjia/Hong Jingkai from this year's Asian Games; the women's doubles will be Chen Siyu/Ng Yingxuan, Jian Tongjuan/Peng Yuhan; the mixed doubles will be played by Guo Guanhong and Ye Yitian for the first time, and the other team will be Xu Xianjia/Wu Yingxuan.

This Asian Championship has a total of 7 events including men's and women's teams, men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles. It is also the Asian qualifying tournament for next year's World Championship and the qualifying tournament for next year's Doubles World Cup. The champions of men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles will qualify for the World Cup.
