世界华人计算生物学大会学术委员会主席、中国科学院院士吴云东表示,该大会自2012年创办以来,始终致力于汇聚全球华人计算生物学领域杰出科学家、分享前沿研究成果、推动中国计算生物学发展。当前,人工智能正深刻重塑计算生物学研究范式,本届大会内容涵盖生物分子结构预测与分子模拟、人工智能驱动药物靶标发现等领域,是对这一时代命题的系统回应。
中国工程院院士、温州医科大学校长李校堃认为,中国人工智能发展空间广阔,生物医药及大健康领域更是潜力巨大。他并指出,中国拥有巨大的市场,能够支撑研究成果转化落地,形成从研发到应用的完整闭环,进而催生更新、更具原创性的成果,并推动其进入全球市场。
绍兴理工学院校长张宏表示,本届大会落地绍兴并由该校主办,有助于推动学科建设,帮助青年学子接触学术前沿。他希望以承办大会为契机,依托地方产业基础,促进产学研融合,培育兼具生命科学素养、智算技术能力与创新思维的复合型人才,助力区域生物医药产业发展。
据悉,该大会设立六个平行分会场,研讨议题涵盖人工智能驱动新药开发与转化、智算赋能靶标发现与配体设计、生物信息新技术与多组学分析、生物大分子结构预测与模拟、理论计算新方法与新模型开发、分子作用机制与体内递送调控六大前沿方向。(完)
