A resident of the Tyumen district will be tried for attempting to set fire to a house in which her ex-husband and his partner were located.

The woman used burning logs and a gas cylinder, but the fire was discovered and extinguished in time.

The criminal case with an indictment has been sent to court.

TYUMEN, September 6 - RIA Novosti. A resident of the Tyumen district, who tried to set fire to the house in which his ex-husband and his cohabitant were, will be tried on charges of attempted murder and destruction of someone else's property, the press service of the Sustainable Criminal Investigation Department for the Tyumen region reported.

According to investigators, on January 31, a 50-year-old woman in the Istochnik gardening community, wanting to kill her ex-husband and his cohabitant and destroy their property, took burning logs from the stove in the house, lined them with a gas cylinder in the summer kitchen where the couple lived, opened the gas supply valve and ran away. However, the man discovered the fire in a timely manner, extinguished the logs with water and reported the incident to law enforcement officers.

“The investigation of the criminal case against a 50-year-old resident of the Tyumen Municipal District has been completed... The investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base, and therefore the criminal case with an indictment has been sent to court,” the message says.
