Attention! Diversion! Road improvement on Fuxing Road in Taichung South District, construction in sections from 9/7-11

The Municipal Transportation Bureau is promoting the "Pedestrian Environment and Lane Allocation Improvement Project on Fuxing Road (Zhongming South Road to Wenxin South Road), South District, Taichung City". Starting from tomorrow (7th) to the 11th, the pavement paving and marking work in the first and second work areas of Fuxing Road will be carried out in sections. Passersby are reminded to pay attention to the diversion and construction information, and they can change to Nanping Road.

Section 2 of Fuxing Road in South District, Taichung City is an important arterial road connecting the urban area and surrounding areas. Therefore, the improvement project is promoted to improve intersection safety and reduce traffic conflicts through the establishment of pedestrian shelter islands and optimized lane configuration, and provide a smoother road quality.

Transportation Director Ye Zhaofu said that in order to balance the construction quality and reduce the impact on citizens' traffic, the project adopts a segmented construction mechanism. The first to third sections will be constructed at night. The fourth section needs to adjust the existing elevation of the longitudinal and transverse road surfaces and the roadbed arrangement to make the road connection smooth. The construction will be carried out 24 hours a day. After the construction is completed, traffic will be restored as soon as possible to ensure the traffic safety of passers-by.

The Transportation Bureau pointed out that the construction schedule and control time of the "Pedestrian Environment and Lane Allocation Improvement Project on Fuxing Road (Zhongming South Road to Wenxin South Road), South District, Taichung City" are requested. The public is advised to pay attention to and cooperate with the project and change routes in advance during the construction period to avoid affecting travel plans.

*Section 1 (next to Heping Elementary School, near Zhongming South Road): from 22:00 on September 7 (Monday) to 6:00 on September 8 (Tuesday) (night construction).

*Section 2 (next to Heping Elementary School, near Nanping Road): from 22:00 on September 8 (Tuesday) to 6:00 on September 9 (Wednesday) (night construction).

*Section 3 (even-numbered side of Section 2 of Fuxing Road, near Nanping Road): 22:00 on September 10 (Thursday) to 6:00 on September 11 (Friday) (night construction).

*Section 4 (even-numbered side of Section 2 of Fuxing Road, near Zhongming South Road): Completed from 22:00 on September 11 (Friday) to 10:00 on September 13 (continuous road construction for 24 hours, if completed early, it will be opened to traffic earlier).
