The Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transport stated today (25th) evening that 9 sections of national highways will be prone to traffic jams tomorrow, and reminded that there will still be ramp closures and high-occupancy control measures.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recommends that southbound users of the Western National Highway try to depart before 6:00 or after 12:00; southbound National Highway 5 users are advised to depart before 5:00 or after 17:00; and northbound National Highway 5 users are advised to depart before 9:00 to save valuable time.

Relevant measures for national highways tomorrow include closing the southbound entrances of the Puyan system of National Highway 1, Shiding and Pinglin of National Highway 5 from 5 to 12 p.m.; high-occupancy control at the northbound entrances of Suao, Luodong, Yilan and Toucheng of National Highway 5 from 13 to 18 o'clock; a single rate, a single rate and 20% off tolls from the Hsinchu system of National Highway 3 to Yanchao system, suspension of tolls from 0 to 5 hours, open shoulders, alternative roads, ramp instrument control, etc.
