Nantou County went to Thailand to participate in a travel exhibition to promote local tourism resources

In order to actively explore the hundreds of billions of tourism business opportunities in Southeast Asia, the Nantou County Government organized a group to participate in the "Thailand Regional Tourism Promotion Activities" from September 17th to 24th, focusing on "Taiwan Open" and "Taiwan 100 Ways", targeting Bangkok and Chiang Mai from 20 to 59 Young adults and families with high spending power strongly promote the secrets of nature, low-carbon sustainable tourism, local food and temple prayers, etc., and promote new attractions such as Caotun Jiujiu Peak helium balloon overseas.

According to statistics from the Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transport, Thailand currently ranks as the fourth largest source country of tourists to Taiwan in Southeast Asia. In 2025, the number of tourists visiting Taiwan reached 411,646, an annual growth of 2.90%, and the post-epidemic recovery rate reached 99.45%; from January to May 2026, the number of tourists visiting Taiwan reached 185,280, a steady growth of 3.96% over the same period last year. With a high-density network of direct flights between Taiwan and Thailand of approximately 180 flights per week, as well as favorable blessings such as my country's implementation of visa exemption for Thai tourists, the Nantou County Government hopes to guide Thai tourists to experience in-depth local tourism.

The Tourism Department of the County Government stated that this promotion adopts B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) dual tracks. In addition to participating in the "Taiwan Travel Exhibition" at Epsphere Mall in Bangkok for B2C marketing, providing Chinese and Thai tourism literature and consultation, it also held B2B tourism promotion fairs and tourism trade fairs at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok and the Intercontinental Hotel Chiang Mai Meiping to directly connect with Thai outbound travel operators and mainstream media.

The delegation brought together Niu Er Art Resort, Renai Township Cingjing Tourism Association and Cingjing Farm National Hotel to participate in the exhibition to showcase Nantou's rich international tourism resources to the Thai market. The on-site event combines Taiwanese cultural handicraft DIY and food tasting, hoping to deepen the impression of the Thai market and attract more international tourists to visit Nantou.
