Announcement of map inspection results for large-scale tourism development sites in Jeju

Jeju = Yonhap News) Reporter Ko Seong-sik = Jeju Island announced on the 22nd that as a result of conducting inspections at 31 large-scale tourism development private businesses in the province, the investment rate was 52.2%, the employment rate of residents was 84.7%, and the participation rate of construction companies in the province was 56.7%.

The investment rate showed that out of the total investment plan of 17.6668 trillion won, 9.2294 trillion won was actually executed.

Additionally, out of a total of 7,184 employed people, 6,093 were provincial residents. The construction cost participated by construction companies in the province was calculated to be 2.905 trillion won out of the total 5.1197 trillion won.

Last year's inspection of a total of 33 business sites showed an investment rate of 54%, a provincial employment rate of 84.5%, and a participation rate of local construction companies of 54%.

Jeju Island's investment rate was analyzed to have slightly decreased in this survey due to delays in investment in some long-term unfinished business sites and businesses with changed business plans.

Jeju Island plans to continuously inspect individual businesses with poor investment performance or low employment rates among residents.

In accordance with the ‘Ordinance on Approval of Implementation of Jeju Development Projects, etc.’, Jeju Island annually conducts research and discloses investment performance based on the results of guidance and inspection of large-scale tourism development projects.
