On September 29, the National Day consumption season of the expressway service area "Zheyun Jiangnanyi·Enjoy a Good Year Along the Road" was launched at the Tongxiang service area of the S9 Sutai Expressway. The autumn consumption promotion activity plan, Zhejiang Province service area consumption map, and Tongxiang transportation and tourism integrated boutique routes were released on site. It is worth mentioning that the Tongxiang service area, which is currently in trial operation, is also the first three-dimensional open high-speed service area in Zhejiang.
Viewed from a distance, the east and west areas of the service area stretch like butterfly wings, and the sky corridor spans the highway. The interior was designed by the Design Institute of China Academy of Art, focusing on the Song Dynasty style. Different from traditional service areas, surrounding citizens can also enter directly from local roads to visit outlets, watch performances, and walk their children to eat. Shen Kaihui, deputy general manager of Jiaxing Kaitong Investment Co., Ltd., the operator of the service area, said that the three-dimensional open design turns the traditional high-speed station into a new destination for short-distance travel in Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Huzhou.
When walking into the service area, "it doesn't look like a service area" is the first impression. In the dining area on the first floor, more than 20 chain brands such as KFC and Bawang Tea Ji are distributed along the circular circulation line. The time-honored Tongxiang brand "Zhaoqiang Mutton Noodles" has opened in the expressway service area for the first time. Xu Yongqiang, the person in charge of the noodle shop, said: "Some people used to get off the expressway and run into the city just to eat a bowl of mutton noodles, but now you can eat it when you pass by." Beside it, snacks such as crabapple cakes and shredded radish cakes are made and sold. On the second floor, the country's largest high-speed sports-themed outlet and the first Puyuan cashmere theme pavilion were launched. Hangzhou white chrysanthemum derivatives and national specialties are on display.
Shen Kaihui said that she hopes to make this place a benchmark. In the past, Tongxiang people spent more than 20 years "contracting" almost half of China's high-speed service areas. Nowadays, the new service area not only fills the gap of the lack of large-scale comprehensive leisure and commercial space in the western part of Tongxiang, but also allows the flow of high-speed traffic, urban people and tourists to converge and blend.
In addition to eating, drinking and having fun, there is also a "first in the country" hidden in the service area. There is a resident robot "Kaixuan Band" on the second floor of the East District. Four intelligent robots play guitar, piano, drums, and flute respectively. The Living Butterfly Science Museum on the third floor of the West District is the first accessible butterfly-themed space in a high-speed service area in the country. Visitors can watch butterflies up close and understand their complete growth cycle. "There are so many beautiful places in one service area, which is very surprising. I feel it is more like an attraction." During the National Day, the local area also prepared the "Double Fairy Butterflies Dance to Recall Jiangnan" Wia Feitian performance, in which two Tongxiang IPs, the Silkworm Flower Empress and the Chrysanthemum Fairy, danced in the air, accompanied by guzheng, pipa folk music and Sichuan opera face-changing; the retro salesman NPC shuttled and interacted from time to time, replicating the local customs of Jiangnan.

The Zhejiang Province Service Area Consumption Map, first released this time, integrates 107 pairs of service area specialty foods, surrounding attractions and other information, aiming to innovate the "high-speed diversion + service area experience + scenic area linkage" model to drive the coordinated development of the surrounding cultural tourism industry and rural economy. Combining the National Day passenger flow and local characteristics, Zhejiang will select key service areas to carry out concentrated activities, making the expressway service areas a "mobile window" to showcase the development of Zhejiang's common prosperity.
