High school girl body found in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, male acquaintance investigated

Late at night on the 10th, prefectural police received a report from a woman in Zama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, stating that her high school student daughter left home in the evening and did not return home. When prefectural police conducted a search, a body believed to be that of a 17-year-old female high school student who had been missing was discovered along the riverbed of the Sagami River in the early hours of the 11th. Prefectural police are investigating the case, suspecting that she was murdered and abandoned.
