The 9th China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "CIIE") has entered the peak period of exhibition construction.

The reporter learned from the Shanghai police on the 27th that the police had optimized vehicle route planning in advance and strengthened patrols in the exhibition hall to ensure the orderly and smooth entry of exhibition transportation vehicles.

The reporter saw at the North Square of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) that dozens of large trucks loaded with booth construction materials and exhibits were lined up, waiting in turn, and drove into the venue in an orderly manner under the guidance of on-site staff.

In order to further implement the measures of "benefiting enterprises, promoting exhibitions, and providing convenience to the people" and optimizing the business environment for exhibitors, this year's CIIE will continue to iterate the security service model, and effectively ensure that exhibitors can enter the venue in advance to set up exhibitions by scientifically compressing the closed control time and extending the exhibition setup time. Exhibitors and construction units entered the venue early, and the freight traffic became concentrated.

The police said that in order to facilitate exhibitors and construction units to coordinate the construction progress and minimize the impact of freight traffic on the daily travel of surrounding residents, the Qingpu police went ahead to study the characteristics of the traffic flow, scientifically planned the exclusive movement route of the exhibition transportation vehicles, and simultaneously strengthened the surrounding road guidance to guide the trucks to enter/exit according to the designated route, enter and exit quickly, and unload and leave quickly, and put measures to assist enterprises and people on the front line of the exhibition.

"A large number of exhibition trucks will arrive in recent days. This year, exhibition vehicles will be admitted in a queuing manner. There are two vehicle queuing areas at the P26 Zhulu West Road parking lot in the outfield and the P9 parking lot in the infield. Exhibition vehicles will enter from Gate 10 of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) in accordance with the traffic signs and staff guidance, and then unload in an orderly manner." Li Lei, deputy director of the National Convention and Exhibition Center Public Security Police Station, Qingpu Branch of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, told reporters. Through the organizational method of "waiting outside and unified entry", trucks can enter as soon as they arrive, unload and leave quickly, minimizing vehicle stranding and queuing, and reducing the impact on surrounding road traffic.

In addition to transportation arrangements, security within the museum has also been stepped up. Walking into the exhibition hall, the exhibition staff were measuring and demarcating the booth area, installing various instructions and signs, and the construction work was starting one after another. In view of the dense crowds and materials in the exhibition hall during the exhibition move-in period, the Qingpu police increased the frequency of patrols and organized patrol policemen to shuttle between various construction stations, focusing on checking the on-site electrical line laying, fire-fighting equipment, fire and electricity consumption, etc., and reminded construction workers to stack boards and packaging materials in a standardized manner, and clean up debris in the passages in a timely manner.

"We will patrol the venue from time to time, focusing on key areas such as the booth construction area, material storage points, passage entrances and exits, to ensure safety and orderliness in the venue during the exhibition period," Li Lei said.
