Lucky Air’s first flight to Urumqi⇌Hotian⇌Ali route was successful

China News Service, Lhasa, September 4 (Baima Yuzhen, Zhou Bingfan, Ai Xinyu) At 13:05 on September 3, Lucky Air flight 8L9994 landed smoothly at Hotan-Kungang Airport. The airport greeted the arrival of the flight with the highest civil aviation etiquette "passing the water gate" ceremony, marking the successful completion of the maiden flight of the Urumqi ⇌ Hotan ⇌ Ali route. At this point, the air passages between Urumqi and Hotan in Xinjiang and Ali in Tibet have been officially connected, providing more convenient aviation support for people traveling along the routes and regional economic, trade, cultural and tourism exchanges.

It is understood that this route is operated by Lucky Air, the flight number is 8L9993/8L9994, and there is one flight every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The outbound flight 8L9993 takes off from Urumqi at 07:00, arrives at Hotan at 09:10, takes off from Hotan at 09:55, and arrives at Ali at 11:25; the return flight 8L9994 takes off from Ali at 12:10, lands at Hotan at 13:50, takes off from Hotan at 14:35, and returns to Urumqi at 16:30.

The opening of this new route has further smoothed air travel between Xinjiang and Tibet, greatly facilitated commuting within Xinjiang and travel for Tibetan people, fully catered to the diverse needs of tourism, business negotiations, and visiting relatives and friends, and built an efficient air bridge for the integration of culture and tourism, personnel exchanges, and economic and trade exchanges between the two places.

Currently, Lucky Air has upgraded the Urumqi ⇌ Hotan ⇌ Ali route to a premium route. Economy class passengers can enjoy 20 kilograms of free checked baggage. The carry-on baggage is limited to 1 piece and the size does not exceed 20 cm × 40 cm × 55 cm. The weight does not exceed 7 kilograms. The flight also provides in-flight meal service.

It is worth mentioning that Lucky Air also operates premium routes from Urumqi⇌Kashgar⇌Ali, with flights covering every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The two routes effectively complement each other, further enriching air travel options in and out of Ali, and improving plateau route capacity supply and travel convenience.
