The American administration does not see the need to consider Iran’s proposals to unblock the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible. They do not consider the problem urgent, CBS reports, citing a US official.

“The US position is very strong, given that we control the Strait of Hormuz, so we are in no hurry. Over the past 48 hours, almost 40 million barrels of oil were transported through the strait,” the channel’s interlocutor emphasized.

However, the media source assured that Washington is still conducting “positive and constructive consultations through intermediaries.”
