French actress and singer Marina Vladi has died

Nikita Vysotsky told RIA Novosti that despite the difficulties in their family, he always respected his father’s last wife, the French actress and singer Marina Vladi.

Earlier, the BFMTV channel reported that Marina Vladi died at the age of 88.

“It’s very sad. My condolences were grateful to everyone who loved and remembered her. Our family also had difficulties, but I always treated her well, with respect, and we also grieve and convey our condolences to her loved ones,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

Vladi was born into a family of Russian emigrants in the commune of Clichy near Paris on May 10, 1938.

She got her first role at the age of 10, then she starred in Jean Gueret's film "Summer Storm" (1949). However, success came to the actress after filming the film “Before Then” (1954). In 1964, she won the Cannes Film Festival prize for Best Actress in the film A Modern Story: Queen Bee. During her career, the artist played more than a hundred roles in television projects, theater and cinema.

Marina Vladi was the third and last wife of Vladimir Vysotsky from 1970 until the death of the bard in 1980. After his death, she released a biography about life with Vysotsky, “Vladimir, or Interrupted Flight.”
