Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues travel ban to Pakistan's Balochistan province

(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Min Seon-hee = The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it will issue a travel warning level 4, 'No Travel', from 11 PM on the 31st for Pakistan's Balochistan Province, where terrorism by armed groups continues.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alerts are frequently issued throughout the province in Balochistan due to terrorist attacks by separatist militants.

The Pakistani government has also designated some areas of Balochistan as travel restricted areas and requires a travel permit (NOC) to be obtained when visiting.

In accordance with the travel ban, those who visit or stay in Balochistan without the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' exceptional passport use permission may be punished according to the Passport Act.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested that citizens planning to visit the area cancel their visit, and that Korean citizens staying in the area should withdraw to a safe area.
