Fraudsters offer mortgage repayment subsidies to families with children in order to steal personal information.

Scammers create fake clones of State Services and ask citizens to log in to them, which leads to account compromise.

Moshelovka recommends checking the conditions for providing government benefits exclusively on the Gosuslugi portal or the official website of the Bank of Russia.

MOSCOW, September 24 - RIA Novosti. Fraudsters began offering families with children a subsidy to pay off their mortgages and, under this pretext, lure out personal data, the press service of the Popular Front’s “Moshelovka” platform told RIA Novosti.

“Scammers launch contextual advertising and messenger channels masquerading as government social support services or official bank portals. Families are promised a compensatory subsidy to pay off the mortgage,” analysts said.

Next, the scammers ask citizens to allegedly log in through a fake clone of Gosuslug to submit an application for compensation, which leads to account compromise, debiting funds, or issuing microloans.

Moshelovka recommends not to enter personal data on third-party sites, links to which are obtained from advertising or social networks.
