An employee of a Moscow bank stole almost six million rubles

The theft of almost six million rubles from one of the Moscow banks was caught on video. The head of the press service of the capital's Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Colonel of the Internal Service Vladimir Vasenin, shared the relevant footage with Lenta.ru.

The video shows a woman stealing money from a bank vault.

Law enforcement officers detained the suspect. She turned out to be a 45-year-old bank employee. She has already confessed.

A criminal case has been initiated against her under Part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). She was given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.

According to law enforcement officials, the defendant secretly took money from the bank vault for almost two months and spent it on personal needs. She had access to cash transactions and keys to the vaults.
