US Politics Wilson described the Mecca Defense Alliance as the NATO of the Middle East

Wilson, a member of the Republican Party, evaluated the alliance agreement signed between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan from his account on the social media platform.

US politician, "The Mecca Defense Alliance has the potential to become the NATO of the Middle East." he said.

The Foreign Ministries of Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan published a joint statement regarding the Extraordinary Meeting of the Mecca Defense Alliance Strategic Political and Defense Committee held today.

In the joint statement made after the meeting in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the following statements were made:

"The Committee has decided to immediately implement the collective defense commitments, and within this framework, to take measures to provide the agreed upon military forces and capabilities to Saudi Arabia within the framework of the agreed arrangements, in accordance with the national legislation of the parties, and to rapidly deploy them, thereby strengthening the preparedness, military integration and collective capacity to combat threats."
