US Representatives and Treasury Minister spoke on Türkiye-US relations

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Member of the US House of Representatives Darrell Issa and many guests attended the reception held at the Embassy residence. Şimşek said that at a time when geopolitical uncertainty and global economic problems are increasing, Türkiye and the USA need each other more than ever.

Şimşek said that the leaders of the two countries set a trade target of 100 billion dollars.

'My grandfather's nickname is Turk'

Ambassador Tom Barrack reminded that his ancestors came from Lebanon, and emphasized that when his grandmother and grandfather went to the USA, they were called Turks on their ID cards, and his grandfather's nickname was "Turk".
