Abodi, there is only one female president out of 51 national sports federations

If gender disparities are narrowing, albeit partially, in the sport practiced, the same cannot be said from an institutional and managerial point of view: "Out of 51 national sports federations there is only one female president, this is significant. Good intentions are no longer enough, we need to materialise".

This was said by the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, speaking at the eleventh edition of Elle Active!, the forum dedicated to women and work underway in Milan.

"Individual initiatives, however necessary, are not decisive - he explained -. There is a need for coherence that passes through situations that must manifest themselves systematically".
