American actresses Susan Sarandon and Hannah Einbinder were among the activists detained at an anti-Israel rally in New York. The Guardian writes about this.

Journalists note that law enforcement officers put plastic handcuffs on both artists and then took them away from the site of the unauthorized rally of the Jewish Voice for Peace movement. In particular, among the posters there was a call to “Stop arming Israel.”

An NYPD spokesman noted that officers responded to an attempt to block the intersection. “Several individuals who did not comply were taken into custody,” 911 said.
