Halit (23) and his brother Muhammed Emir Çalışkan (9), who were returning from the hospital by car in Adana, were caught in the middle of an armed fight between two groups. Muhammed Emir, who was hit in the head by one of the bullets, lost his life. His father, Latif Çalış, said, "He was my life and my life. The child who will start school on Monday is now lying in the grave. Let them suffer too, let them receive the heaviest punishment." 2 of the 4 suspects taken into custody were arrested.
The incident took place on September 20 at around 23.30 at Yüreğir Bus Terminal in Sinanpaşa District of Yüreğir district. Hayri A. (31) and Gökhan A. (31), who were washing buses at the bus station, allegedly reacted to Derman Uçardoğan (26), his father Adil Uçardoğan (60), his friends Erden Çukurkuz (24) and İbrahim Özdemir (22), who were listening to loud music. The discussion quickly turned into a fight and the parties attacked each other. While Hayri A. and Gökhan A. hit the members of the opposing group with kicks and punches, the others responded with guns. One of the bullets fired from the gun hit the car of Halit Employee, who left Karşıyaka Oral and Dental Health Center and returned home with his brother. Employee's brother Muhammed Emir Employee, who was sitting in the backseat of the car, was shot in the head. Halit Employee took his seriously injured brother to Karşıyaka State Hospital by car. The suspects escaped.
Muhammed Emir, who received first aid at the hospital, was then transferred to Balcalı Hospital. Muhammed Emir Employee, who was taken into surgery, died on September 22 in the intensive care unit where he was treated. The body of Muhammed Emir, taken by his relatives after his autopsy at the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute, was buried in tears at Ali Khojaly Cemetery.
Homicide Bureau teams detained the suspects Derman Uçardoğan, Erden Çukurkuz, Adil Uçardoğan and İbrahim Özdemir during the raid on the house where they were hiding in Mahfesığmaz District of Çukurova district. The gun believed to have been used in the incident was also seized during the team's search of the house. The suspects, who were taken to the police station, accused each other during their interrogation, claiming that they did not use the gun.
Explaining what happened, father Latif Employee said, "In the evening, they went to the hospital with his brother to get a prescription. A conflict broke out on the way back. While they were trying to escape from there, the bullet hit our car. The bullet entered through the windshield and hit my son in the back seat. He was my life and my life. He would come with me wherever I went. We left the house on Sunday, walked around a little. He said he was hungry, so I made him doner kebab. We looked at the stores to buy his school uniform, but we couldn't find it. "We left the shopping until the next day. He could not start his education when the schools opened. The child, who will start school on Monday, is now lying in the grave," he said.
Stating that he wants justice to be served, Employee said, "My wife, my children, everyone is miserable right now. I want these weapons to be collected as soon as possible and those who have guns to receive the heaviest punishment. Only then will the fire in my heart go out. I want the bullet that entered the middle of my child's forehead to enter the middle of their forehead. I want them to be hurt too and receive the heaviest punishment."
Muhammed Emir's older brother, Halit Employee, who was driving the car in which he was shot, said, "On my way home after leaving the hospital, I saw a fight in front of the bus station. When I maneuvered, they shot at us. My brother was shot in the head. I was in shock at first, but when I came to, I immediately took him to the hospital. Those who did this should receive the heaviest punishment."
Derman Uçardoğan and Erden Çukurkuz, two of the suspects who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station, were arrested in court, while Adil Uçardoğan and İbrahim Özdemir were released on condition of judicial control.
