Dodo Pizza suffered a cyber attack and customer data may have been compromised

The pizzeria chain Dodo Pizza reported a cyber attack on its IT system. Some customer data, such as names, addresses, email, phone numbers, dates of birth, order contents, may have been accessed, but payment information is safe. The company notified Roskomnadzor about the incident and blocked access to the attackers; an internal investigation is ongoing.

MOSCOW, September 28 - RIA Novosti. “Dodo Pizza” was subject to a cyber attack, some customer data could have been accessed, but payment information was safe, the chain’s press service reported, noting that the company had already notified Roskomnadzor about the incident.

“Friends, yesterday and today there was a cyber attack on our IT system. The information security team is doing everything to prevent this from happening again. In the meantime, we want to openly tell you what data parts of our clients could have been accessed: names, addresses, email, phone numbers, dates of birth, order contents... We notified Roskomnadzor about what happened,” says a message on the company’s page on the VKontakte social network.

It is clarified that customer payment data is safe as it is not stored. In addition, according to the pizzeria, access to the attackers has been blocked, and an internal investigation is ongoing.
