VLADIVOSTOK, September 27 - RIA Novosti. Four bears that posed a threat to people were eliminated within 24 hours in the Krasnochikoysky district of Transbaikalia, the region’s Ministry of Natural Resources reports.

“Over the past 24 hours, mobile groups eliminated four bears that posed a threat to the population. The measures taken made it possible to eliminate the threat of further dangerous encounters between residents and predators... Mobile groups of game wardens eliminated the threat in the Krasnochikoysky district,” the message says.

It is noted that game wardens quickly went to places where bears appeared, assessed the situation and took the necessary measures aimed, first of all, at protecting the life and health of people and preventing dangerous situations.

“Due to the emergence of wild animals, we ask residents to temporarily refrain from visiting the forests. Do not go to the forest, do not go fishing, do not have picnics, postpone picking mushrooms and berries. Particular attention is paid to the safety of children,” the authorities urged.
