The Ministry of Education has launched the "Humanities and Social Intelligence AI Talent Quenching Plan" and the "Humanities and Society Cross-Domain Innovation and Active Learning Promotion Plan" to solicit applications, encouraging university teachers and colleges in the field of humanities and social sciences to combine humanities and society with smart technologies such as AI and data analysis through cross-department, cross-field and industry-university cooperation to cultivate talents with humanistic qualities, cross-domain integration, practical application and AI capabilities. Each case will receive a maximum subsidy of 5.6 million yuan.

Gao Zhizhang, section chief of the Department of Information Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education, explained that the "Humanistic AI Talent Quenching Plan" takes humanities and social topics as the core, combines digital smart technology, AI and data analysis to develop "Humanistic AI, HAI" cross-domain course groups and course modules, so that students can simultaneously possess humanistic understanding, social analysis and smart technology application capabilities. The maximum subsidy for each case is NT$4 million. If you meet the qualifications and apply for the "Exemplary Featured Project", you can receive an additional NT$1.6 million, up to a maximum of NT$5.6 million. Another "Humanities and Society Cross-Domain Innovation and Active Learning Promotion Plan" emphasizes "student-centered", integrates university and industrial practice fields, promotes active learning, topic-based learning (PBL) and human-computer co-creation, and hopes that teachers will transform from knowledge imparters to learning guides and AI collaborative coaches to cultivate students' abilities in independent learning, cross-domain cooperation, problem solving and responsible use of AI. The maximum subsidy for each case of Category A "Key School Development Plan" is 6 million yuan, and the maximum subsidy for Category B "Development Plan of Humanities and Social Sciences College" is 4 million yuan. For example, Mingzhi University of Science and Technology cooperated with Yongkang Business District to design special topics to assist in brand marketing, street beautification and cultural value reshaping, and won the silver medal and masterpiece of the IDA International Design Award in the United States; National Chengchi University combined courses with museum collections and exhibition practices.

In addition, Mingxin University of Science and Technology offers English courses on semiconductor technology and arranges students to intern at technology companies; the Department of Chinese and Civil Engineering of National Chung Hsing University collaborate across disciplines to use VR to lead rural children to understand coastal architecture and urban and rural development.
