Kuomintang Hsinchu County Mayor candidate Xu Xinying today (8th) joined hands with Baoshan Township Mayor candidate Qiu Zhenwei and county councilor candidate Qiu Kuntong to jointly establish the Baoshan Township Joint Campaign Headquarters. Former County Mayor Qiu Jingchun, current County Mayor Yang Wenke and Hsinchu City Legislator Zheng Zhengqian and others came to support it; Xu Xinying proposed three major political ideas: AI smart transportation, welfare for seniors and children, and an international performance center. She emphasized that she would continue Yang Wenke's eight-year county administration foundation and promote the next stage of development of Hsinchu County.

Xu Xinying said that transportation in Baoshan Township is the focus of local attention. In the future, 16 major transportation construction projects will be promoted, including the improvement of Baoshan Interchange and surrounding roads, and the introduction of an AI full-dynamic traffic flow control system to monitor traffic flow through big data and flexibly adjust the traffic light seconds, with the goal of shortening peak traffic jam time by 20%. The smart bus network will also be expanded, and YouBike will be promoted to be free for the first 30 minutes to improve public transportation connections.

In terms of welfare, she proposed that the elderly care allowance for those over 65 years old would not exclude the rich and exempt them from paying health insurance premiums. The points for the elderly care card would be increased from 500 to 1,000 points, and she is considering increasing it to 1,500 points to expand the scope of use. At the same time, denture subsidies and free herpes zoster vaccinations will be added. The childcare policy plans to provide maternity subsidies of up to 100,000 yuan, expand temporary childcare, and promote "one hour of peace of mind for childcare". The county government will subsidize corporate wages and allow parents with children under the age of 12 to reduce their working hours by one hour a day to pick up and drop off their children.

Xu Xinying pointed out that in terms of industrial and cultural construction, she advocates the construction of an international-level multi-functional exhibition center, the introduction of concerts, international art performances and large-scale exhibitions, and the establishment of an AI Smart Industry Academy to assist the transformation of local industries, cultivate scientific and technological talents, and strengthen the competitiveness of Hsinchu County in the semiconductor and AI industries.

Xu Xinying finally called on supporters to unite and fight to win the election, and called for clean politics. She hoped that villagers would support the county magistrate, township magistrate, county councilor and grassroots candidates nominated by the Kuomintang, and work together to promote Hsinchu County to become a city that is both technological and livable.
