Jiang Qichen attended the Hanxiang Trade Union Conference and proposed three major propositions for domestic manufacturing and AI industry development

KMT Taichung mayoral candidate Jiang Qichen attended the Hanxiang Company's corporate union membership meeting today and proposed three major propositions: "Junior education machines will stay in Taiwan, physical AI will be located in Taichung, and industrial upgrading will drive salary increases." Jiang Qichen emphasized that the domestic manufacturing of SINOMACH is not only a national defense policy, but also an industrial policy and labor policy. The new entry-level training aircraft should give priority to the domestically produced plan, with Hanxiang leading the domestic supply chain to share the responsibility, so as to keep orders, technology, talents and employment opportunities in Taiwan.

Jiang Qichen said that Hanxiang is the pride of Taichung and an important business card for Taiwan's aviation industry to go global. From the early Jieshou and Zhongzheng, to the IDF Chingguo, F-16 structural modifications and Brave Eagle high-education aircraft, Hanxiang and the domestic supply chain have accumulated profound R&D, manufacturing and logistics maintenance capabilities. Domestic manufacturing of primary aviation aircraft is not just about purchasing a batch of aircraft, but also leaving key technologies to Taiwan, cultivating aerospace talents, and providing substantial care to grassroots workers who have long invested in national defense independence.

Jiang Qichen said that when he reviewed the special budget for F-16V procurement in the past, he requested that an "F-16 Asian Maintenance Center" should be established in Hanxiang. Taiwan has more than 200 F-16 fighters and has complete experience in structural modification, logistics and technology upgrades. The government should use this as a basis to actively strive for regional maintenance and international cooperation business opportunities, so that defense procurement can be further transformed into Taiwan's industrial strength.

Jiang Qichen also pointed out that the "Regulations on Strengthening National Defense Independence and Unmanned Vehicle Industry Development Regulations" have laid a legal foundation for technology testing. The next more critical step is to invest budget, open up the field and accelerate industrialization. Unmanned vehicles include not only drones, but also unmanned ships, unmanned vehicles, and humanoid robots. In the future, industry-university-research resources and international cooperation should be integrated to create a "Taichung unmanned vehicle and physical AI industrial ecosystem" to promote the upgrading of traditional precision machinery to smart manufacturing, making Taichung the core of Taiwan's industrial upgrading and a trustworthy partner in the U.S. and international markets.

Jiang Qichen advocates the establishment of an "AI Empowerment Academy", in which the government will combine enterprises, colleges and universities, and research institutions to provide AI application and smart manufacturing training for on-the-job employees, establish skill certification and corporate salary increase coaching mechanisms, assist workers in improving their professions, and enterprises accelerate transformation.
