AI has become a new tool for students to write homework, but it may also make children less and less likely to use their own brains. Wang Xiuhuai, a professor at the Taiwan Teacher Training Center, pointed out that many middle school students have begun to use AI to write homework, and education has an opportunity to teach students in accordance with their aptitude. It also faces challenges such as "cognitive offloading" and "understanding illusions." She reminded parents that they should guide their children to regard AI answers as "drafts to be verified" and shift from passive acceptance to critical thinking.

Wang Xiuhuai said that AI tools are moving from one-way question-and-answer Chatbots to AI Agents that can plan independently, making it more possible to teach students in accordance with their aptitude, but it may also cause problems such as cognitive offloading. The role of parents should also change accordingly, becoming their children's "chief reflective coach" to help their children verify the information provided by AI, rather than directly accepting the answers.

Xu Yanqiu, a counseling psychologist at Taipei Municipal Neihu High School, reminded that in the face of the AI ​​wave, parents should shift from "anxiety guides" to "supportive guides" and accompany their children to explore departments and their own talents, strengths and passions. Their career thinking should also shift from "pursuing the best" to "finding the right fit" to accompany their children in making decisions and become their children's "life partners."
