Busan Metropolitan Office of Education launches service by adding mock interview and academic design functions to AI advancement platform ‘Advanced PEN AI’

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 10th that it has launched a full-fledged service by adding functions to support mock interviews and major/academic design to 'PEN AI,' a platform for advancement using artificial intelligence (AI).

'Admission PEN AI' is the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education's public advancement support platform that supports everything from academic advancement planning to mock interviews based on students' school records and grade data.

It is equipped with functions such as advancement information that provides analysis of successful applicants, 'AI entrance simulator' that links basic information on students' admission to successful applicants and guides them to recommended departments, and 'AI mock interview' based on documents and presentations.

The city office of education has advanced its functions so that students, parents, and teachers can systematically prepare for higher education in accordance with changes in the college entrance system for the 2028 school year.

The most notable change is the ‘AI tail question generation’ function. Previously, expected questions were created based on the student record, but now AI analyzes the student's answers in real time and presents follow-up questions. Students can practice repeatedly in a manner similar to an actual in-depth interview and improve their ability to respond to actual situations.

An academic design function linked to major has also been added. By linking the 2022 revised curriculum with information on recommended courses to be completed by university and department, students can check the courses recommended for that major when they select their desired university and department.

A function has also been prepared to prepare for changes in the internal report evaluation system. As the high school academic record evaluation system has been converted from a 9-grade system to a 5-grade system starting from college entrance in 2028, the 5th grade grades can be converted to the existing 9th grade standard and viewed.
