[Reporter Ou Yuxiang/Taipei Report] Datong (2371), a long-established home appliance manufacturer, has continued to cultivate AI data center business opportunities in recent years. Today, it released a modular AI infrastructure solution "TTG AIDC CUBE" that integrates power, cooling, energy management, smart monitoring and computing systems. Chairman Zhang Ronghua pointed out in his speech that this product demonstrates one-stop integration capabilities from the power grid end to the cabinet end, announcing that Datong has further entered the AI infrastructure market, and can be completed in just 180 days to put the computing power into practice.
Benefiting from the rapid development of AI, computing power and electricity demand in Taiwan and the world are rising simultaneously. We are optimistic about the continued growth of data center infrastructure. High-density computing will bring challenges such as power supply, cooling, construction speed and energy efficiency. Zhang Ronghua also said that Datong has transformed from an equipment manufacturer to an "AI infrastructure integrator", providing computing power and electricity, and its operations will continue to transform. Zhang Songbin, general manager of Datong, explained that traditional data centers are no longer able to cope with the demand for high-density AI computing and rapid deployment. In the future, AI data centers will develop towards modularization, standardization, and flexible expansion. Datong integrates power, cooling, monitoring and computing power into standardized modules to shorten the time from infrastructure construction to the launch of computing power. Currently, Datong has the ability to complete the construction in 180 days.
Zhang Songbin said that Datong Company’s exhibition area has also built two sets of cooling systems, including medium-voltage power supply, transformers and switchboards, all of which are Datong’s own products. In the future, module products or power and cooling equipment can be provided according to customer needs; the exhibition area includes air-cooling and water-cooling cabinets. The air-cooling is supplied by an external ice water machine, and is matched with the cold aisle and hot aisle in the computing power cabinet. The water cooling uses normal temperature water to directly cool the computing chip, and considers NVIDIA Vera Rubin's water cooling needs.
Datong explained that the core concepts of the new product "TTG AIDC CUBE" that debuted this time are modularization, standardization, and rapid deployment. Through CUBE's modular architecture, it can be flexibly configured according to different customers' field and computing power needs, and integrate key functions such as efficient power supply, cooling, energy management, smart monitoring and cabinet systems.
Compared with traditional data centers, which often take a long time from planning to construction, TTG AIDC CUBE aims to achieve "180 days of computing power implementation" through standardized design and prefabricated architecture, shortening the time from infrastructure construction to computing power online, allowing enterprises to respond to AI application needs more quickly while maintaining flexibility for subsequent expansion.
