AJet starts direct flights to Kazakhstan from Istanbul

AJet, which has direct flights to Kazakhstan's Astana and Almaty cities from Ankara, is strengthening its presence in Central Asia with new flights to be launched from Istanbul.

Istanbul-Almaty and Istanbul-Astana lines will also contribute to commercial and touristic activities between the two countries. AJet's direct flights from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Astana's Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. Istanbul - Almaty flights will be operated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays.

'NEW AIR BRIDGES ARE OF GREAT IMPORTANCE FOR US'

AJet General Manager Kerem Sarp announced the new lines with a post on his social media account. Kerem Sarp said, "As Türkiye's youngest airline, AJet, we continue to expand our international flight network without slowing down. In this regard, we are excited to launch direct flights from Istanbul to 2 important cities of Kazakhstan and to increase the frequency of our flights from Ankara.

These new air bridges, which will further strengthen our connection with the Turkish States, are of great importance to us. We will start direct flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Almaty as of January 5, 2027, and to Astana as of January 7, twice a week.

We are currently increasing the frequency of our flights from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to Almaty and Astana. "We want to further expand our flight network in Kazakhstan in the coming period and contribute to the ties between the two countries with new air bridges." he said.
