The seized cell phones are being examined

For the purposes of the investigation, the prosecutor Antonio Natale also ordered the forensic copy of the three seized cell phones to reconstruct, through phone calls and messages sent in the previous weeks, what happened before the femicide. Meanwhile, the autopsy examination on Vella's body is also underway. The magistrates asked for the tissue to be taken for the purposes of a toxicological examination to understand whether the man was under the influence of narcotic substances.

The father's appeal to the institutions

Meanwhile, the victim's father, Franco Isceri, has launched more than one appeal. "I hope that my daughter is the last victim. Please don't do like my daughter, who wanted to defend it and told me she didn't want to destroy it. The first thing to do is to report it," he said. Previously, he had also addressed a message to the institutions: "The Italian people are now full of these tragedies, we can no longer go forward, many women are dying who don't deserve it. It's too late now, hurry up". Isceri then expressed the desire to "see a law with political unanimity to defend women".

The prayer in Squinzano in memory of Lorena Isceri

In Squinzano, many gathered in a moment of remembrance and prayer in via Lizza Glauca, in Casalabate, in front of the house where Lorena Isceri's parents live. The initiative, organized by the victim's friends in collaboration with the municipal administration and the local parishes, was attended by acquaintances, friends and family, as well as the mayor Mario Pede, the parish priest of Squinzano Don Alessandro Scevola and the victim's father. For the occasion everyone wore red clothing, carrying candles or roses. “We must all fight this battle together because only if we act with a shared socio-cultural path that aims at the emotional education of healthy love, can this plague be eradicated”, underlined the mayor.
