Stasi defense: review of Sempio's conviction and investigation

Alberto Stasi's defense carries out activities on a double front: the request for review of the final sentence before the Court of Appeal of Brescia and the investigation by the Pavia Prosecutor's Office investigating Andrea Sempio. The genetic counselors have delivered a new paper on the DNA, while other insights concern the 2017 Sempio wiretaps and the dot sole prints left at the crime scene

The defense of Alberto Stasi has started a complex activity that moves on a double track: on the one hand the request for review of the final conviction of the former Bocconi student for the murder of Chiara Poggi, before the Court of Appeal of Brescia; on the other hand, the investigation opened by the Pavia Prosecutor's Office, which included Andrea Sempio in the register of suspects for the same crime. On these two fronts, the lawyers have implemented a series of consultancies and also an investigative investigation.

The new genetic counseling

The consultants Pasquale Linarello and Ugo Ricci have completed and delivered to Stasi's lawyers a new paper on the genetic aspects, intended to support the request for review of the conviction. This is one of the various insights that the team of experts is preparing on behalf of the defense.

Wiretaps and fingerprints

In addition to the work on the DNA, two other consultancies are reportedly underway. The first concerns the rereading of Andrea Sempio's wiretaps dating back to 2017. The second focuses on the walk and therefore on the shoes of Stasi and Sempio himself, in relation to the dot sole prints found at the crime scene.

The defense investigation

According to what was reported by the IgnotoX broadcast on La7, one of the consultancies has already been filed by Stasi's defence, which has also conducted a defense investigation with new elements. According to an investigative source, the material is "deemed to be of extreme interest".
