Fire in Aksu: Residents and Teams Fight the Flames

Aksu district Karaöz Neighborhood Headman Ahmet Karakış said, "We evacuated many houses in the neighborhood right after the fire started. So far, 1 house has completely burned down. Thank God, we have no casualties. We are trying with all our strength to extinguish the fire."

Citizens living in the region also supported the fire response efforts.

While residents of the neighborhood tried to stop the progress of the flames with tractors, some citizens set up barricades around the buildings to prevent the fire from reaching their homes.

Stating that the fire reached close to his house, Muhammet Özdemir said, "They told me that there was a fire near the house. Both the right and left sides are burning. It came to the bottom of my house. There is no tree left."
