The murder of Talita Ramos Andrade, aged 35, raised the number of femicides in the Campinas region to at least 15 in 2026.
Suspect Anderson Souza Andrade Ramos, 42 years old, former companion of the victim, was shot and arrested this Monday (7). He hid in a chicken coop.
A survey shows that violence against women occurs mainly at home. In 13 of the 15 cases this year, the suspect was a partner or ex-partner.
Talita had moved to Campinas for fear of threats from her ex-partner. She had a protective order and had filed a police report against him.
Campinas leads the region's occurrences, with 4 femicides registered in 2026. The municipality of Hortolândia appears next, with 3 cases.
With the murder of Talita Ramos Andrade, 35 years old, mother of three found dead on a rural road in Artur Nogueira (SP), the Campinas region reached at least 15 cases of femicide registered in 2026.
The suspect in the crime is Anderson Souza Andrade Ramos, 42 years old, a former partner of the victim. He was shot and arrested after being found hiding under a chicken coop, in the Jardim Blumenau region, this Monday (7).
The survey shows that violence against women remains mainly concentrated in the domestic environment.
In 13 of the 15 cases recorded this year, the suspect was the victim's husband, partner or ex-partner.

Talita had moved away from Artur Nogueira after the end of her relationship with Anderson. She lived in Campinas for fear of threats and to start her life over again, according to her family.
The victim had a protective measure against his ex-partner and had filed a police report this year in which he reported being the constant target of threats.

January 16: Letícia Chaves de Oliveira, aged 26, was shot dead inside her home, in the Samambaia neighborhood, in Valinhos (SP). Her husband, Maicon César Ferreira, was arrested on the same day. The victim was shot in front of his children, aged 11 and 4.
January 22: Yasmin Evely da Silva, 25 years old, was beaten and stabbed to death by her husband in Jardim Nova Esperança I, in Sumaré (SP). Diego Molino da Silva fled after the crime, but was located and arrested in Hortolândia. The investigation showed that he monitored the victim through a camera installed in the residence.
January 30: Naiara Souza Lopes, 33 years old, was stabbed to death inside her home, in the Sacilotto neighborhood, in Artur Nogueira. The victim's ex-husband, Ricardo Machado de Souza, who did not accept the end of the relationship and handed himself in to the police weeks later. The couple's 3-year-old son reportedly witnessed the crime.
February 2: Rita de Cássia da Silva Coura, aged 48, was found dead inside the house where she lived, in Jardim Campos Elíseos, in Campinas. The partner was arrested and the family reported a history of attacks throughout their relationship of around 30 years.
February 2: Ana Paula Perpétuo, 41 years old, was killed with a hammer inside her home, in the central region of Lindóia. The husband, José Edson Gonçalo dos Santos, confessed to the crime and was arrested by the Municipal Guard.
March 14: Julyene de Lima dos Santos, aged 27, was stabbed to death on Rua Guarujá, in Jardim Europa, in Hortolândia. The main suspect, companion José Felipe Pereira de Souza, was located days later and arrested by the Vinhedo Municipal Guard.
April 29: Carla Viviane da Silva, aged 28, died after being shot inside her own home, in Hortolândia. The companion, Hendryo Arnobio de Araujo Santos, was arrested. According to the investigation, the couple were arguing when he grabbed a gun to threaten her. The victim left two children, aged 7 and 9.
May 1: Vanessa Oliveira dos Santos, 19 years old, was killed with hammer blows and stab wounds in an apartment in Parque Progresso, in Itapira. Two men were arrested for the crime.
May 9: Najylla Duenas Nascimento, 34, was shot dead by her partner, municipal guard Daniel Barbosa Marinho, during the couple's wedding party, in Campinas. After fleeing, he returned to the scene and surrendered. The victim left three children.
June 1: Jaciara Lima, 45 years old, was stabbed to death by her partner inside the couple's residence, at Residencial Olímpia, in Campinas. According to police, the crime occurred during an argument. After killing the victim, the man took his own life.
June 12: Fabiola Batista Dias, 31 years old, a trans woman, died after being attacked by a man with whom she was in a relationship, in Vila Vitória, in Campinas. The suspect was arrested red-handed.
August 8: Eliane do Carmo Pereira, aged 42, was stabbed to death inside her home, in the Ana Carolina neighborhood, in Valinhos. The husband, Márcio de Souza Milani, tried to kill himself after the crime and remained hospitalized under police escort. The victim had previously recorded threats.
August 9: Elinalva Mendes Teixeira Pacheco, 35 years old, was found dead from stab wounds inside her home, in Jardim Campo Belo, in Campinas. The companion, Antônio Rocha, was arrested in Goiás days later. Police discovered he had a history of violence against other women.
September 4: Cleonice Aparecida Pinheiro de Oliveira, aged 54, was stabbed to death inside her home, in Jardim Minda, in Hortolândia. The companion, Cristiano Ribeiro, was arrested for feminicide.
September 5: Talita Ramos Andrade, 35, was found dead on a rural road in Artur Nogueira. She had a protective measure against her ex-partner, Anderson Sousa Andrade Ramos. The court ordered his preventive detention, and he was shot and arrested after searches in a forested area.
