America's Cup in Naples: the final day begins

Everything is ready in Naples for the third and final day of the America's Cup preliminary regatta. A beautiful sun is welcoming visitors to the Race Village organized by Sport e Salute on Lungomare Caracciolo where at 1pm over 42 thousand visitors have already been registered.

The weather conditions are comforting with an expected wind of between 10 and 15 knots: two fleet races still to be held, the first will start at 2.10pm and the second at 2.46pm. Following, starting at 3.27pm, there will be the final match race, the one-on-one challenge that closes the competition between the first two boats in the general ranking.

At the moment, after two days and six races held, the Luna Rossa senior crew is firmly in command of the ranking with 51 points won out of the 60 available. New Zealand follows with 43 points and Alinghi with 38. The other Italian boat, Luna Rossa Youth & Women, has 35 points, fourth ahead of the Americans of Arc Team USA (34), New Zealand Youth & Women (32) and the French of La Roche-Posay (31), protagonists yesterday with two successes. The two English boats close: GB2 on 29 points and GB1 on 28 points.
