Operation against 'new generation' criminal organizations in Antalya and Kayseri

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated that operations were carried out in Antalya and Kayseri, targeting a total of 46 suspects, within the scope of the fight against criminal organizations called "new generation".

Gürlek, in his post on his social media account, stated that 10 suspects were caught in the operation against 14 suspects who praised the violent and threatening methods of three different organizations in Antalya on social media or shared posts about taking part in the activities of the organizations, and that drugs were seized during the searches.

In Kayseri, a simultaneous operation was carried out in 5 provinces against the new generation criminal organization, which was found to have committed 89 separate criminal acts against 68 victims. While all 32 suspects were caught and detained during the operation, weapons, ammunition, checks and bills, digital materials and drugs were seized during the searches.

Gürlek thanked the Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices, police departments and public personnel who carried out the operations and said, "We will not allow any structure that tries to entrap our young people in criminal organizations, normalize violence and portray crime as an element of power and prestige."
