"Among the early ideas being considered are abandoning the traditional spring and fall product release schedule, as well as cutting some middle management positions to reduce the number of layers separating engineers and senior management," the agency wrote.

Ternus wants the company to introduce new products throughout the year, Bloomberg points out. However, according to employees quoted by the agency, changing long-established development practices at Apple will be difficult and may take years.
