Apple devices criticized for high cost, limited customization, and repairability

Apple equipment is more expensive than its analogues, and its operating systems (OS) are difficult to configure. This was reported by BGR.

According to experts, users are primarily put off by the high cost of brand devices. "We can't ignore the fact that this is a barrier for many people trying to purchase Apple products for the first time," the journalists noted. They also called the limited ecosystem an unpleasant truth about the brand’s devices. Journalists pointed out that many services only work on branded gadgets.

Another disadvantage was the weak possibility of personalization. This applies to both OS and devices. They cited Mac computers as an example: in most models, you cannot increase the RAM or replace the SSD drive. This sets Windows devices apart from Apple devices.

The authors also lamented that Apple is often slow to innovate and waits for others to do so. They also called the problem of maintainability relevant: most devices of the American brand are very difficult or impossible to service at home.
