Appointed as the head of the scheme by the police, university professor and lawyer Cordovil Antônio Nogueira Martins has been in prison since March. In messages exchanged with another member of the group, he makes a specific request on November 30, 2022:
“Pack the new one, more or less zero kilometers, and we’ll leave,” he says.
Prints of conversations obtained after breaking Cordovil's confidentiality indicate that participants in the criminal organization spoke openly about taking minors into the sexual exploitation scheme.
One of the members, who was Cordovil's maid and was arrested this Saturday, had records of conversations "presenting" several photos of underage girls to Cordovil.
“I already sent you a photo of the two: one of 15 and the other of 14”, she says, also on November 30, 2022.
Cordovil is a defendant in a case at the Specialized Court for Crimes against Children and Adolescents of the Capital (Veca), of the Rio Court of Justice, and has already had preventive detention ordered by the Court.
This Saturday (10), Luiz Alberto Martins Sobrinho, 68 years old, was arrested in Gávea, in the South Zone. Mariana de Oliveira Minas was arrested in Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense. The police are still looking for Ariane Minas, Mariana's daughter, who is already considered a fugitive.
All were subject to temporary arrest requests issued by the Specialized Court for Children and Adolescents (Veca).
According to Dcav's chief delegate, Maria Luiza Machado, they are all responsible for rape of a vulnerable person, favoring prostitution and criminal association.

In addition to these crimes, Cordovil is also responsible for producing, storing and sharing child sexual abuse content.

How the scheme worked
The scheme was structured and divided with established tasks, according to Dcav:
Cordovil Nogueira: Sexual exploitation, production of sexual content with minors and payment to victims and guardians
Ariane and Mariana Minas: recruitment and delivery of victims
Luiz Alberto Martins Sobrinho: direct grooming and participation in sexual abuse
Investigations indicate that Cordovil ran a social project at Cândido Mendes College. There, he took advantage of the victims' social vulnerability to approach them, offering money, snacks, gifts, cell phones and other advantages. In addition to being a form of grooming, it would serve to "buy" the victims' silence.
The victims were taken, by Uber or in Cordovil's vehicle, to his house in Grajaú, North Zone of Rio.
Investigations indicate that Luiz Alberto received amounts in transactions via pix from Cordovil to take children between 10 and 16 years old to his home.
A public servant, Sobrinho is identified as the main recruiter of the criminal organization by the investigation.
According to Dcav, he organized parties that were used for the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents. In addition to grooming, he also participated in the abuse at Cordovil's house, according to investigations.
One of the pieces of evidence obtained by the police is a conversation between Luiz and Cordovil, in which photos of a victim aged just 10 are exchanged between them.
The two arrange to meet the girl on November 14, 2022, and even talk about buying a cell phone for the victim as compensation for the abuse.
“What day can you send to buy the phone?” asks Luiz.
"Just say the value", responds Cordovil, asking for the victim's initial name.
"Yes, she loved it, she wants to come back next week, she said she was in paradise", said Luiz Alberto.
“That’s great, she’s also very friendly,” says Cordovil.
In other conversations involving Cordovil and Luiz Alberto obtained by the police, the same victim is addressed by nicknames such as "seed" and "exclusive".
Child groomed in exchange for son's party
Ariane and Mariana recruited teenagers to go to the university professor's house, in Grajaú, in exchange for financial compensation. One of them was Ariane's son's birthday party, which would have been paid for by Cordovil, according to messages obtained by the police.
Messages show that Ariane enticed a 14-year-old victim, in March 2022, to go to Cordovil's house.
"I'll send you a photo of the girl I got for you", says Ariane, sending two photos in sequence.
Cordovil asks if the victim has children or is committed, and Ariane replies no.
“Great, it’s approved,” Cordovil responds.
"Eeeeeeeee", responds Ariane.
Following the conversation, she remembers that the following Saturday was her son's birthday.
"I wanted to make him a cupcake, with guaraná, hot dog, sweets and some snacks, so it wouldn't go unnoticed. Could you advance me some money?", he asks.
"I'll see what I can do," Cordovil responds.
Dcav investigations also indicate that mothers are suspected of exploiting their own daughters in the criminal scheme, subjecting victims to prostitution or negotiating benefits in exchange.
Eight thousand files on your cell phone
According to the complaint, after gaining the trust of the victims, the accused carried out the abuse in his own home, in Grajaú. In addition to sexual crimes, he also produced photo and video records, featuring sexual exploitation and the production of pornographic material.
Investigations also indicate that some of this content was shared.
During the investigations, agents found more than 8,000 files with sexual content involving children and adolescents on the lawyer's cell phone. According to the MPRJ, the volume of material raises the suspicion that the number of victims is greater than that already identified.
