Drone attack on Lutsk. 6 people dead

During the day, the Russians attacked Lutsk with several drones. One of them hit a grocery wholesaler, often visited by residents of nearby housing estates. People did not have time to escape to the shelters when the air alarm was triggered - reports RMF FM reporter Krzysztof Zasada.

We were at work when the drone came. Suddenly we heard an explosion. We started evacuating people from the shop floor. On the spot, I saw two seriously injured people - they were my friends whom I often met in this warehouse - one of the witnesses told the Ukrainian media.

All the fatalities and most of the injured were employees and customers of this store.

Additionally, shrapnel hit an eight-story block of flats nearby. Two people were injured there, including a child.

Another attack on the Volyn Oblast

Lutsk and the Volyn region have been attacked by Russian forces at least 15 times since the invasion of Ukraine began in 2022.

The most tragic consequences so far were the attack on the military airport on March 11, 2022, in which four servicemen died, and the missile strike on the plant of the Swedish company SKF on August 15, 2023, where three civilian employees lost their lives.

Five deaths in Kiev

Today, the number of attacks on the capital of Ukraine has also increased. According to the capital police, five people were killed and 36 injured in Kiev.

Earlier reports from the State Service for Emergency Situations (DSNS) reported three deaths in the capital.
