Augusto Cury, Avante candidate, visits Baccarelli Institute in Heliópolis and announces proposals for education

The Avante candidate visited the Baccarelli Institute, in the Heliópolis favela, in the South Zone of São Paulo. The non-profit institution serves 1,650 needy children and young people. Augusto Cury followed a class, watched presentations and talked to young people.

Augusto Cury's visit lasted around two hours. In the end, the candidate presented proposals for education and said that he intends to make changes to the routine of public schools if he is elected president. According to the candidate, one of the changes will be the encouragement of professional courses:

"We are going to transform the Brazilian nation into the most entrepreneurial nation on the planet. 10 to 15 million micro-enterprises will be financed in communities, including here in Heliópolis, and also in other communities, with the Entrepreneur's School and an Entrepreneur Agency, and in public schools. We want to revolutionize education, revolutionize the SUS and transform Brazil."
