This was written by Fatto Quotidiano which, in today's edition, reports on a directive signed on 15 September by the general secretary of the Presidency of the Council which provides indications for the 2027 budget and for the multi-year 2027-2029 budget, a document in which everyone is asked to spend with "prudence and essentiality".

The results will be, as the newspaper explains, "fewer consultancies and conferences, "expense reimbursements" which "cannot exceed 30 euros per day", "no missions unless they are used for institutional meetings abroad" and "not too many blue cars in circulation".

In all, one hundred million total cuts are calculated for ministers without portfolios, undersecretaries of the Presidency of the Council and mission structures that should contribute to the public budget. In the reasons the directive reports the geopolitical complex of "exceptional complexity".
