Collision incident in the shopping mall parking lot by pressing the gas instead of the brake

The accident occurred at around 12.30 in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Ömerli District.

PRESSING THE ACCESSORY INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE

Allegedly, the female driver of the jeep parked in the parking lot pressed the gas instead of the brake while moving. The jeep crashed into a parked car with plate number 34 MIP 648. 2 vehicles were dragged into the cafe. Upon notice, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Gendarmerie teams took precautions by drawing a strip around the cafe. While the vehicles entering the shop were being towed out, no one was in the cafe or in front of the shop, preventing a possible disaster. The jeep driver was taken to the gendarmerie center to be questioned. There was damage to the cafe and vehicles. While the investigation by the gendarmerie teams continued, the moment of the incident was reflected second by second on the surrounding security camera.

Eyewitness Baran Akyol said, "While they were parked, they suddenly moved and hit the parked car and entered the shop. There were no injuries. No one was hurt. We were working in the shopping mall. When we heard a sudden sound, we came and looked."
