Lawyer Buket Nurşah Tekışık's drug test was positive

There has been a striking development in the investigation into allegations of interference in judicial processes in some courthouses in Istanbul in exchange for financial gain. The drug test of lawyer Buket Nurşah Tekışık, who was detained and arrested within the scope of the operation carried out by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was positive.

According to the forensic report included in the investigation file, the substance 'cocaine' was found in the samples taken from the suspect Tekışık. The drug report in question was added as official evidence to the ongoing legal process of Tekışık, who was accused of trying to influence the case files in courthouses by gaining unfair advantage between 2022 and 2024.

HE WAS KNOWN FOR HIS POST 'I NEVER LOSE'

The name of lawyer Buket Nurşah Tekışık, registered with the Istanbul Bar Association, first came to the public agenda with the photo scandal at the Istanbul Palace of Justice in Çağlayan in 2023. Tekışık, who shared the photos taken in the office of a public prosecutor working in the terrorist crimes investigation bureau on his personal social media account, attracted great reaction with the note "I never lose, I either win or learn" under the photos.

Tekışık, who closed his accounts after the incident caused outrage on social media and became the subject of news, claimed in his defense that the photos were taken for souvenir purposes when the room was empty and that he had no personal connection with the relevant prosecutor. However, after the scandal broke out, an administrative investigation was launched against the prosecutor who owned the room and his place of duty was changed.

Judicial proceedings against suspects sent to prison on charges of interfering with the judiciary and investigations into new findings in the file continue.
