B-52 will receive AGM-158C stealth missiles

The B-52 strategic bomber will receive AGM-158C Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM) long-range anti-ship stealth cruise missiles. TWZ writes about this.

According to the portal, preparations for concluding a contract for the integration of the B-52 and AGM-158C are being carried out by the US Navy and Lockheed Martin Corporation.

“This will add another maritime strike option to the U.S. bomber arsenal as the military seeks to counter increasingly sophisticated adversary naval forces, especially in the Indo-Pacific region,” the publication said.

In June, the portal reported that the US Air Force tested the AGM-158C Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM), which was launched from a B-2 Spirit strategic bomber during the Valiant Shield 2026 exercise in the Pacific Ocean.

AGM-158C LRASM receives an inertial navigation system and an intelligent target detection system. The missile range is about 950 kilometers.
