The State Duma explained the participation of Europeans in the negotiations on Ukraine

The Europeans are trying to dampen the achievements that were achieved in Moscow and Kyiv, but Russia will overcome this opposition, said Alexei Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Relations. He gave a comment to Lenta.ru.

US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff previously said that representatives of Britain, Germany and France joined the negotiations of the American delegation in Kyiv.

“The Europeans joined the negotiations in order to try to dampen the achievements that were achieved in Moscow and Kyiv. London is trying in every possible way to continue its line of struggle until the last Ukrainian, and first of all, London prevented the Istanbul agreements in 2022. It is these three countries that began to put pressure on the US administration after Alaska, and will now try in every possible way to change the agreements that are being reached,” Chepa said.

The deputy also emphasized that Russia has superiority over NATO weapons, and the issue will be resolved despite the opposition of European countries.

“We have a great superiority over NATO weapons, and we see this clearly, so the issue will still be resolved. How it was decided, when and by what forces, and what could follow next—the Americans understand this better than a number of European countries. Therefore, I think that there will be opposition, but we will overcome it,” added Chepa.
