Putin praised the role of American negotiators in resolving the situation in Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner in the Kremlin.

Putin publicly assessed the role of American negotiators in the process of resolving the situation in Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the beginning of a conversation with US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner, publicly assessed their role in the negotiation process, said Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov.

“The representatives were received by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. And at the very beginning of the conversation, he publicly assessed this mediation channel and the role of the American negotiators,” Ushakov told reporters.

Putin's meeting with Witkoff and Kushner took place on Saturday in the Kremlin. It lasted more than three hours. On the Russian side, in addition to Dmitriev, Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov took part in the negotiations. During the conversation, the Russian President called the situation that the parties had to discuss difficult, and also noted the efforts of the American side for the Ukrainian settlement.
